Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions we hear — from parents, adults seeking support, and schools and universities.

About the Programme

What exactly is executive function coaching?

Executive function coaching helps people of all ages develop skills like organisation, time management, planning, and self-regulation. Whether you're a young person, an adult, or seeking support for someone you care for, we work with your unique way of thinking to build strategies that actually work for you. Learn more about what executive functions are →

How is this different from therapy?

Coaching focuses specifically on practical skills and strategies, not emotional processing. It's about building tools and systems that help you succeed in daily life, school, work, and relationships.

What age range do you work with?

Anyone aged 13 and over — including adults of all ages.

How long is the programme?

The programme consists of 8 weekly sessions, each lasting 60 minutes. This timeframe allows skills to be built progressively, with time to practise and integrate what's learned between sessions.

What if I miss a session?

You can reschedule up to 24 hours before a session. Inside 24 hours, the default is that the coachee will need to purchase an extra session to complete the programme. We're flexible when there are solid, explainable reasons.

Logistics & Scheduling

How do sessions work?

Sessions are conducted virtually via Zoom. You'll receive a secure link for each session. Interactive tools and visual supports make sessions engaging and effective.

What technology do I need?

A computer or tablet with internet, camera, and microphone. Please test your setup before each session so we can use the full hour for meaningful work rather than fixing tech.

What scheduling options are available?

Flexible scheduling is offered including after-school hours, weekends, and some evening slots — to find times that work around your life.

Do parents participate in sessions?

Sessions are primarily 1:1. The programme also includes a 9th 45‑minute session with parents, carers, or sponsors present for check‑in and frank feedback. This session is included as part of the overall programme cost — there is no extra charge.

Cost & Payment

How much does the programme cost?

For current fees, follow‑on session rates, and concessions, please see the Pricing page.

Do you accept insurance?

We don't know of insurers who cover coaching. We're happy to provide attendance and payment documentation if you wish to enquire with your provider.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

There is no money‑back guarantee. Up‑front commitment helps ensure follow‑through on the practice needed between sessions to make real progress.

Results & Expectations

How quickly will I see results?

Most clients notice positive changes within the first few sessions. Lasting change takes time and practice — the focus is on building sustainable skills that keep working long after the programme ends.

What if my teen doesn't want to participate?

Coaching relies on buy‑in. If it isn't the right time, it isn't the right time. The free 20‑minute chat helps us explore readiness and alternatives together.

Will this help with school performance?

Absolutely. Improved organisation, time management, and study skills typically support better outcomes. Many clients are referred by schools.

How do we know if this is right for our family?

Let's have a friendly chat about your situation and goals. We'll be clear about whether the programme is a good fit — no pressure either way.

Getting Started

How do I know if this is right for my teen?

We offer a free 20‑minute chat to talk through your teen's needs and challenges. We'll be honest about whether the programme is a good fit and what to expect. This call is also an opportunity for you to decide whether Hannah is the right fit for your family — it works both ways.

How do I know if this is right for me as an adult?

A free 20‑minute chat is the easiest way to find out. We'll talk through what you're finding difficult, what you'd like to change, and whether coaching is the right next step for you. There's no pressure — and it's just as much a chance for you to decide whether Hannah is the right coach for you as it is for her to understand how she can help.

How do we get started?

Head to the Contact page to send a message or book a free 20‑minute chat.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is all about building connection and understanding. We'll explore goals, strengths, and challenges together. It's a comfortable, no-pressure introduction to the process.

Can I speak to someone who has already done the programme?

Most clients come via word‑of‑mouth. If you'd like to speak to another client or family, ask Hannah and she'll do her best to find someone available and willing.
