Accessibility Statement

Hannah Solutions is committed to making this website accessible and usable for everyone — including people with visual, motor, cognitive, and neurological differences.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. This is an ongoing effort — we review and improve the site regularly.

What is built into this site

  • Accessibility toolbar — a floating panel on every page (bottom-right corner) with seven toggles: dyslexia-friendly font (OpenDyslexic), larger text, extra spacing, high contrast, dark mode, paused animations, and a reading ruler. Preferences are saved between visits.
  • Neurodivergent-friendly typography — the site uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, designed for low vision and reading differences, with generous line spacing and limited line width.
  • System dark mode — if your device is set to dark mode, the site honours that automatically on your first visit.
  • Reduced motion — animations are suppressed for users who have "Reduce motion" enabled in their device accessibility settings.
  • Skip navigation — a "Skip to main content" link appears at the top of every page when navigating by keyboard, so keyboard users don't have to tab through the full navigation on every page.
  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with clearly visible focus indicators.
  • Screen reader support — semantic HTML, ARIA labels, descriptive link text, and hidden text for icon-only buttons throughout.
  • Colour contrast — text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
  • FAQ accordion — the FAQ page uses a collapsible format so content is not presented as one overwhelming wall of text.
  • Video summary — the embedded YouTube video on the "What Are Executive Functions?" page has a written summary alongside it, and auto-generated captions are available via the CC button in the YouTube player.
  • Print styles — the site is optimised for printing, hiding navigation and decorative elements so the text content is clean and readable on paper.
  • Inline form validation — the contact form provides clear, descriptive error messages that appear next to the relevant field, rather than generic browser popups.

Known limitations

  • ! Contact form — the form is currently awaiting backend connection and messages will not be delivered. Please use the booking link or LinkedIn in the meantime.
  • ! YouTube captions — auto-generated captions may not perfectly capture specialist vocabulary such as "executive function" or "neuroplasticity". A manually reviewed transcript is planned.
